Benson What an experience to know and support our Sheriff. Not just while he has been Sheriff but the many years before. I moved to the Benson area in 1978 and renewed our friendship then. Why I am supporting Larry for sheriff goes back to those days. I have seen him grow through the Sheriff's Office from Miracle Valley and know he is the best man for this job today. Sierra Vista I met Larry in 1984 while attending a Boy Scout meeting in Sierra Vista. He was and still is a supporter of the scouting program. As the years progressed I got to know Larry and found him to be a family man, an honest person and caring individual. He always listened when you spoke to him and was fair in his treatment to all. I never saw him talk down to anyone. I have worked with him for 28 years in the Search and Rescue program. He is a strong supporter of Search and Rescue and has always tried to provide the team with equipment and vehicles so we can do our mission. Tombstone I worked with and for Sheriff Larry Dever from 1989 to 2001. Larry is a compassionate, caring and honest person and great to work for. He cares about his Officer’s and the citizens of this County more than anybody I know. Sheriff Dever is a moral and just person to have as a Sheriff. His Integrity is unblemished. Larry is most knowledgeable and willing to use that knowledge in protecting the people of this County. He has done more for the people of this County than most Sheriffs are willing to do in a lifetime, including Testifying to the US Congress. Willcox My wife and I support Larry A Dever for Sheriff of Cochise County. He is intelligent, hard working, and truly cares about the citizens of Cochise County. I worked for two of the top Sheriffs of Cochise County, Jim Wilson and Jim Judd, and I worked with Larry for several years. He was an asset to the department. With his dedication to the job, and the citizens of Cochise County, he is a great Sheriff.
